11. Pre-Build Design Consultation. When we are ready to start on your new website, we'll schedule a phone consultation or meeting (Usually we use
Atasca for our meetings it is located on the corner of Hartington Road and Wilcox Road South London SW8, it has internet access and we use it for meetings as it keeps our prices low as they are.) and review all of the information you have sent in detail.
12. Usually the first thing we do is create to a website mock-up as an image, of what your new website might look like, based on the
information you have sent and preferences you have expressed during our
conversations or correspondence etc. The website mock up will be uploaded to your hosting area so you can view it. The website mock up is simply a large image, a picture
that is easily changed, but none actionalbe or clickable. It is for visual demo only.
13. We await your feedback on the image of the website mock up. Tell us what you want changed, and we will change it. It can take several mock-up changes to get a final vision that you find acceptable, so don't be shy about giving feedback. It's important you get a website that looks and feels like you want it to.
14. When you approve the final website mock up layout. we move on to build it with code.
15. We use Dreamweaver to create your website (Or if we build your site on google servers we use dreamweaver for laying out the content area etc.) . We use your website mock up image visual to create a a coded page akin to the mock up shown to you. This unique page visual will be the basis for all of your website's pages, linking them together. We use SSI for your navigation area, thus we can change the SSI page and the navigation changes in all the other pages in your site for me.
16. Creation of content. Now that the pages are made, we need to add content to them. Content means things like text and the images we will be using on your website. At times client create their content ahead of time and other times they create it on-the-fly. I typically talk to clients about
keywords before they begin to write their content. As I receive content we pass it on to the copywriter to clean it up and add extra suitable keywords to give your website better SEO, following that we add images to your pages, were you not to have images we can direct you to picture libraries where you can find suitable commercial images. Normally we suggest
Dreamstime for images as they have good prices.
